Syrian Automobile Club: Road Safety First

The Syrian Automobile Club (SAC) organised an open day on road safety awareness and education for the employees of Lafarge cement company on 27th June 2011.

The seminar was divided into three sections:

• Section One: Defensive driving, passengers and vehicle safety;
  
  
• Section Two: First Aid tips in case of accidents;
  
  
• Section Three: Seat belt use for all passengers - with about two hundred people divided in 8 groups the seminar was very successful and about 80 persons experienced the seat belt slider.

The SAC is now contacting other companies to extend the training programme to their employees by means of similar events.
