AWAKE closing event in Balocco/Italy

Since its launch in 2001, the goal of AWAKE has been to develop an unobtrusive driver monitoring system to increase traffic safety by reducing the number and the consequences of traffic accidents caused by driver hypo-vigilance (due to driver fatigue or momentary loss of attention).

Three years on, the AWAKE team and AIT&FIA will present the results and findings of this EU funded research project. The event will take place on 29 September in Italy. A Road Safety Workshop will be complemented by demonstrations of the AWAKE prototypes in a range of different vehicles at the FIAT test track in Balocco.
