CECRA calls for a prolongation of Block Exemption Regulation

Publication date: 26 September 2006

CECRA (European Council for Motor Trades and Repairs), the European federation of the professional associations representing the interests of the motor trade and repair companies and European Dealer Councils on behalf of vehicle dealers for specific makes, calls for a prolongation of the current Block Exemption Regulation 1400/2002, which is due to expire in 2010.

CECRA President Jürgen Creutzig said: "This BER is the best framework for all stakeholders ...". But a recently published independent study by London Economics showed that not all goals of the BER have been achieved yet.
