Green Paper on TEN-T
Publication date: 18 March 2009
Green Paper on TEN-T
Rapporteur: Ms Eva Lichtenberger (Greens/EFA, AT)
Own-initiative report
Discussion on the 112 amendments that were tabled to Ms Lichtenberger's draft report, as well as 15 from the REGI committee, focused mainly on whether the EP response to the Green Paper should mention concrete projects or if it is more appropriate to prepare the ground for a thorough revision of the guidelines - encompassing the general objectives, the means and architecture of TEN-T - without advocating specific projects. The rapporteur announced her intention to prepare several compromise amendments, regrouping the different elements introduced by the Members, in order to ensure a stable majority in plenary.
Timetable foreseen:
Vote in committee: 31 March 2009
Vote in plenary: April 2009
