Wil Botman new Director General at the FIA European Bureau

Today, Wil Botman took up office as new Director General of the FIA European Bureau. He replaces Johann Grill who has returned to the ADAC after a 5 year secondment.

Wil (of Dutch nationality) was trained as a research psychologist (graduated with distinction). After having worked six years for a marketing research agency, he joined the Royal Dutch Touring and Automobile Club (ANWB). During his 28 years with the organization, he worked in personnel development, and the management of marketing, was director of the ANWB’s helicopter emergency medical services and most recently director of international relations.

He is married and has four children. Wil is also a musical conductor and an avid long distance walker. He speaks English, German and Dutch.
