The FIA Legal Award - Factsheet
The FIA Legal & Consumer Affairs Commission Legal Award is handed out each year to experts and/or clubs to recognize the role they played defending the safety and mobility of their members and consumers generally across a wide range of activities in an ever-changing environment.
Former Prize Winners demonstrated their ability to do one or more of the folllowing:
- defence of members’ legal interests – e.g. winning of a key legal decision or key consumer right;
- development of legal & consumer services (products that can be sold to members and other parties);
- Monitoring and amendment of national, European or international regulation to the benefit of their members, clubs and consumers generally;
- Significant achievement with potential benefits for FIA members in FIA Regions
A jury comprising the Chairman and the members of the Commission Bureau will select the laureate from nominations solicited and received from all clubs, groups of clubs, individuals, or FIA bodies. To maintain objectivity, no jury member will be allowed to judge projects submitted by his/her own club. The award is usually handed out during the yearly Conference Week.
